Beatles Animation

BeatlesAh, Beatles Animation... Many different artists have drawn, painted, sculpted or created images of the Beatles. You can find these Beatles images in art galleries, museums, movies, comic books, TV shows, airports, hotels and in the work of thousands of professional artists. One of my personal favorite Art forms of the Beatles is animation. Just like John, Paul, George and Ringo, my readers and I were raised on & inspired by the animation of Disney, Hanna-Barbara, Marvel Comics, Looney Tunes, Warner Brothers, Max Fleischer Studios, Merrie Melodies and dozens of other creators of animation. John Lennon even wrote “Do You Want To Know A Secret” based on the wishing well scene in Walt Disney’s 1937 film Snow White and the Seven Dwarves.

In this section we will explore the Beatles and their animations in its two most popular forms: The Beatles Saturday Morning Cartoons and the Beatles Movie Yellow Submarine. You’ll get to see some of the best animation from the creators of these projects, find out how they were created, how much the Beatles themselves were involved, where you can see more of these products and maybe even purchase one for yourself. You’ll also see the two pieces of Beatles Animation that I proudly own. These were purchased from Ron Campbell who was a director of The Beatles Saturday Morning Cartoons and one of the many Animators on the Yellow Submarine project.
