The Beatles In The Studio

Let's Imagine you were there with the Beatles In The Studio and could see their recording process & feel their songwriting inspiration

In this section, (and it is my favorite part of this website) I'm going to take you inside the studio to witness how The Beatles put their talents to work.

• What (or who) inspired and influenced their songs?
• Who had "the final word" on what was on the albums?
• What studio tricks were used to create "effects"?

So, yes, I’m this crazed Beatlemaniac and I’ve spent over 45 years being this way, but it all comes back to one thing…the one starting pointing for this passion I have. It was and still is the point of ignition for those fires of passion I have, The Beatles Music. The infectious melodies and harmonies that those Beatles played with that incredible energy (just watch Paul during “I Saw Her Standing There” on the Beatles first Ed Sullivan show appearance and you could see how jazzed he was) and the pride in almost all of their songs.

But, I have not only enjoyed listening to them but studying about how each and every Beatles song was written and created in the studio. Having read almost every book on that subject and hearing a huge percentage of the Beatles studio recordings, I created my Pop Go the Beatles Radio Show with the intent of sharing that information with other Beatles fans. For that reason, this section is one of my personal favorite sections on the-beatles-history.com and why it’s called Beatles In the Studio.

"The Studio" was the EMI Abbey Road studios in London. This is where the Beatles created the bulk of their music. It is the Beatles music that has left an indelible mark on me and today’s society. Yes, at first it was their hair and their wit. Then, their clothes and again their hair (even longer and on their faces too). Then it became their message of Peace, Love and Understanding (we could use a lot more this today).

But when we look back on the Beatles History the one thing that still attracts new fans is the Beatles music. This section will focus on the creation of that music. I’ll attempt to share all the information on its creative process, its inspiration and the little tricks and innovations the Beatles (and their engineers and producer, George Martin) used to create this music that has become the soundtrack for many generation’s lives.
