The Beatles BBCThe Beatles were the featured performers on 52 BBC radio programs and played 88 different songs, 36 that never appeared on a record. All this took place between March of 1962 and June of 1965. I will attempt to track down the cover song the boys did during these performances and give you the date of it’s 1st broadcast and the show it was on. Some of these covers have already been listed on this page and will be so designated.

3/8/62- (Beatles 1st BBC appearance) Teenagers Turn (Here We Go)
"Dream Baby"- Roy Orbison song released in 1961 reached #4 in US
"Memphis Tennessee"- See The Decca Tapes

6/15/62- Here We Go
"Besame Mucho" - See the Decca Tapes
"A Picture of You" - Joe Brown and the Bruvvers song, George 1st lead vocal on BBC

1/26/63- Saturday Club
"Some Other Guy" - written by Jerry Leiber, Mike Stoller and Richard Barrett. It was first released by Barrett as a single in 1962.
"Keep Your Hands Off My Baby" - is a song written by Gerry Goffin and Carole King. Little Eva had a #12 hit with the song on the Billboard charts in 1962.
"Beautiful Dreamer" - is a popular American song, the last known song written by Stephen Foster

"Everybody’s Trying To Be My Baby" - is a song composed by Carl Perkins who recorded the song in 1957 which was covered by The Beatles in 1964. The Beatles released it on their Beatles For Sale LP in the UK.
"You Really Got A Hold On Me" - is a 1962 Top 10 hit single by The Miracles from the album The Fabulous Miracles for the Tamla (Motown) label. The Beatles released it on their 2nd UK album With the Beatles

"I’ll Be On My Way" - Lennon/McCartney composition never released by the Beatles. It was released by Billy J. Kramer and the Dakotas as the B-side of their single "Do You Want to Know a Secret?" a song also penned by Lennon/McCartney. This single reached number 2 in the UK charts while "From Me to You" by The Beatles was occupying the number 1 position
