Beatles Wives and Girlfriends

Beatles Wive and GirlfriendsIf you were a teenage girl in the sixties you dreamed of being the wife or girlfriend of one of the Beatles. I guarantee that you still remember who’s significant other you wanted to be.

Did you want to be Jane Asher, Paul’s girlfriend who he wrote “I’m Looking Through You” about?

Did you want to be Pattie Boyd who George met while filming A Hard Days Night” and inspired George to write “Something?”

We all know that later on Pattie would end up married to Eric Clapton and he would write “Layla” (actually the whole Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs album was inspired by Eric’s love for Pattie) for her. Is she the greatest muse in music history?

Or did you want to be Cynthia Lennon, who was already married to John when the boys hit it big (millions of hearts were broken when the graphic “Sorry girls, he’s married” was flashed on our TV screens during the Beatles historic Ed Sullivan Show appearance on 2/9/64).

Were you one of the millions of Ringo fans who just wanted to be with that lovable Liverpudlian?

Which Beatles' Wife/Girlfriend did you want to be? Share your story here and read what other have said.

In this section we’ll bring the biographies of the woman who got to live out YOUR dream. We’ll try to spotlight the songs they inspired or appeared on in the Beatles records.

Did you know that Paul said “Thanks Mo” to Maureen after finishing “Get Back” during the Beatles famed Apple rooftop concert?

Note: I will not waste one paragraph or a minute of your valuable time on Heather Mills. Enough Said.
