Did the Beatles record in Hest Bank or Carnforth , Lancs, before they became famous?

I am making a local history video about the area that I live in and someone who used to own a house called Marnwood in Hest Bank near Lancaster said that, when this was a recording studio, that the Beatles recorded here. He said that they featured this house on one of their albums.
Also, when they were redecorating the house to sell it that they found a drawing under the stripped off wallpaper of the Beatles, reputably drawn by Lohn Lennon.
Sadly this house has gone to the "great brickworks in the sky" and I cannot prove the facts. Can anyone help?
