Jorie Gracen
Interestingly, a year or so before, I had won a free copy of the Hardcover version of Jorie’s book on Joe Johnson’s “Beatlebrunch”, which was one of the shows that inspired me to create my Beatles radio show. I always thought that I could make a better show than his. In my opinion, I did. I will say that I found her to be thoughtful, funny and very warm in all my conversations with her. As far as her pictures of Paul, they are amazing and I cannot believe that she is not selling them on an individual basis. I would be buying them immediately. Jorie Gracen has been a full-time professional photographer since 1977, specializing in entertainment, editorial, and public relations photography. Her celebrity photos have been seen in these publications: "People," "Rolling Stone," "GQ," "Esquire," "Newsweek," "New York Times," "Cosmopolitan," "McCalls," "Family Circle, " "Guitarist," "Teen Beat," "Trouser Press," "Town & Country," "TV Guide," "Us Weekly," "Parade Magazine," "U.S. News and World Report," "World Press Review," "London TV Times," "Christian Science Monitor," "Publisher's Weekly," "Goldmine," "Milwaukee Journal," "Miami Herald," "Chicago Sun-Times," "Oregonian," "Chicago Tribune" and many others. In addition, Jorie Gracen's work has been shown on "Entertainment Tonight," "E! Entertainment Television," "VH1 Behind the Music," and "Headliners and Legends with Matt Lauer."
Besides Paul McCartney, Gracen's celebrity portfolio includes pop icons and film stars of the '60s, '70s, '80s and '90s. One of her best known works appears on Paul McCartney's "Tripping the Live Fantastic" album, released in 1990. You can find Jorie Gracen’s phenomenal pictures of Paul McCartney and much more in her book “I Saw Him Standing There”.
Also, you can find more information about Jorie (and her many side projects, like the Pondhawks, her band since March of 2007) at her website (designed and maintained by her)
"Thanks Jorie for providing these amazing photos"
