Little old lady from Liverpool

Little old lady from Liverpool

by Karen
(Sydney, Australia)

This is a very miscellaneous story but quite sweet. Late last year my mother went to her hairdresser in Melbourne (Australia). When she walked in there was an elderly lady at the counter talking to the staff and helping herself to some mints in a bowl on the counter. In a Liverpudlian accent she said that when she lived in Liverpool the Beatles came to her house for tea and ate all her mints. The next day one of them phoned her (don't know which, maybe Paul or John as they didn't have mothers) and asked if they could adopt her as their mother. She said no because they ate too many mints.
