But I do have a good Paul McCartney Concert story. It was at the opening night of his 2005 US Tour. That day I went through an 8-hour mediation session for my divorce. I had no idea if I was going to make it on time. My son was with my sister all day and she was prepared to babysit, if I could make the show. The session ended at 6:30 I raced over to pick up my co-host on Pop Go the Beatles radio shows (Joyce Kaufman) and we rushed down to the American Airlines Arena in Miami. The show started 5 minutes after we sat down. This was no easy trick, Joyce had been in a motorcycle accident a month earlier and this was her first night out.
Anyway, we are sitting on the floor in the 10th Row, Dead Center and the show starts. Paul has decided to leave out all the dedications to people who have passed (not that there is anything wrong with that) and sticks to the hits and some of the more obscure early Beatles song like "I'll Get You", "For No One", "In Spite of All the Danger", "I'll Follow the Sun" and "Till There Was You". But then he goes into his acoustic set "This is the place where they leave us all alone" he says to the audience "I can handle it if you can". And then he sings "I Will" not just one of my favorite Beatles song but the song that has become my 4 year old sons lullaby. I had been singing him this song ever night for a year and it just tore me up that night. I was crying through the whole song and most of his acoustic set.

Sweet, sweet story. Thank you. And by the way, "I Will" is one of my favorites. I just love Paul's way of transmitting the hope of finding Love...in his oh-so-special manner.
