When I was at 6th grade at elementary school in 1967 it was the beatlemania here in Mexico, but I was eleven years old and I used to listen the radio only in Spanish so I haven´t listened the Beatles but one classmate was fanatic of them and I used to tell her that the Monkeys were better than the Beatles just to enrage her and we always finished at the principal´s office. It was till college when I was 9teen that I met a boy in a friend´s house that we liked each other and there was a melody that I had never listened but I liked it too much, he came close to me and told me that he will never forget that melody because of me. That melody was "The Norway woods", we began to talk about the music and the words of this melody and he told me it was played by the Beatles, then we listened other Beatles songs and since that day I listen Beatles and learned many of their songs, then two years later I met my husband who was a Beatles maniac fan and we enjoy always a lot listening and singing together Beatles songs. Our sons (33 and 25 years old boys now)got Beatles fans because they listened Beatles since they were born and so are my grand daughters (8 and 4 years old girls now). And since I listened Beatles music never said that Monkeys or any other group was better, because the Beatles are the Best!!!
